Derek Botelho, a second-round pick in the January 1976 amateur draft, pitched two years in the major leagues.
In the minors he won over 100 games in a 12-year career of which parts of eight seasons were spent in the American Association.
Botelho was a pitching coach in the Cincinnati Reds' organization from 1991 to 2002, and has been in the Atlanta Braves' chain since 2003.
