Denny Torres played for the 1993 GCL Yankees, hitting .236/.354/.327 in 20 games as a backup corner infielder. In the 2007 Baseball World Cup, he hit .308/.308/.538 while splitting first base duties for Venezuela with Manuel Ramirez. Most of his damage came in one game against last-place Thailand, as he was 1 for 10 (a single) otherwise.
