Originally a starter, pitcher Dennis Dove was moved to the bullpen while in the minors in 2006. He began the next season with the Memphis Redbirds and was recalled to the St. Louis Cardinals after the death of pitcher Josh Hancock early in 2007. He pitched in only three games for St. louis, giving up 5 runs in 3 innings.
