Dejan Kovacevic was a Pittsburgh Post-Gazette hockey reporter for many years. In 2005, he became the principal baseball writer and was considered by many fans to be a vast improvement over Robert Dvorchak, his predecessor in covering the Pittsburgh Pirates. Kovacevic is known for his balanced style of writing, criticizing the team when appropriate while also lauding positive moves.
