Dave Serrano led the University of California, Irvine Anteaters to the 2007 College World Series in his third season as the head coach.

Prior to UCI, Serrano was a coach at Cerritos College from 1988 to 1994. He was the pitching coach at the University of Tennessee in 1995-1996 and CSU Fullerton from 1997 to 2004.
