Dave Schrage was named baseball coach at the University of Notre Dame in 2006 after four seasons as the head coach at the University of Evansville. He previously had coached at the Northern Illinois University (2000-2002), the University of Northern Iowa (1991-1999), and Waldorf Junior College (1988-1990).

Previously, Schrage was an assistant at Biscayne College (under Paul Mainieri who he replaced at Notre Dame) in 1984 and Creighton University in 1985.
