Dave Hamilton had his one career complete game shutout on June 26, 1974 as a member of the Oakland A's. He pitched a two-hitter, walking 4 and striking out 4. The two hits were a 6th inning single by Dave Chalk and a 9th inning single by Bobby Valentine.
He is the father of former Cleveland Indians, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox and St. Louis Cardinals prospect Jon Hamilton.
