After his playing career, pitcher Dave Baldwin obtained a PhD in genetics and a M.S. in systems engineering from the University of Arizona. Dave's Baseball memoirs, "Snake Jazz" will be published in early 2008. He has also authored a number of research articles on the physics of certain pitches.
