Dave Adlesh was one of the many talented youngsters on the Houston Colt .45's team in the 1960's. He appeared from 1963-68, and when he first broke in during the 1963 season at age 19, he was surrounded by other players who were approximately his age. John Paciorek and Sonny Jackson were 18 years old; Adlesh and Rusty Staub, Joe Morgan, Chris Zachary, Brock Davis and Glenn Vaughan were 19 years old; and Jerry Grote and Ivan Murrell were 20 years old. Jim Wynn, the Toy Cannon, Aaron Pointer, and Ernie Fazio were 21 years old.
Adlesh never got many at-bats, reaching as high as 104 in only one season, his last.
In 1964, he played in San Antonio, catching in 130 straight games on the pennant-winning team and hitting 14 home runs.
