[edit] Biographical Information
In 1989, Dave Collins played for the Fort Myers Sun Sox of the Senior Professional Baseball Association.
Since retiring as a player, he has been first base coach with the St. Louis Cardinals (1991-1992), Cincinnati Reds (1999-2000), Milwaukee Brewers (2002), and Colorado Rockies (2003-2006). He has also been a scout and managed in the minors. In 2007, Collins was the manager of the Inland Empire 66ers. He resigned the next winter due to family problems. In 2010, he returned to coaching first base, with the Florida Marlins.
