Darwin Rafael Beltrán Cordovés

Darwin Beltrán was 24-34 with 9 saves and a 4.94 ERA in 10 Cuban seasons through 2007-2008. He was the most-experienced pitcher on the Metropolitanos entering 2008-2009 though he was well behind the only more experienced player on the team, 22-year veteran Enrique Esteban Díaz. In 2008-2009, the right-hander was 5-7 with a 6.75 ERA and .325 opponent average. He issued 10 intentional walks to tie for the league lead.
