Darrell Whitmore underwent rotator cuff surgery in 1995 and never returned to the bigs. Whitmore was chosen in the 2nd round of the 1990 draft and has the second-most major league at-bats of any player drafted in the second round of the 1990 draft, trailing only Aaron Ledesma.
