[edit] Biographical Information
Danny Taylor played nine years in the major leagues with some good OPS+ scores. His best years were 1932-34 with the Brooklyn Dodgers.
He was with the Chicago Cubs from 1929-32, but while the Cubs won the pennant in both 1929 and in 1932, Taylor played only 2 games with them in 1929 and 6 with them in 1932 and did not appear in the World Series either year. He was managed by Rogers Hornsby in part of 1930 and in 1931 as well as in the few games he played in 1932 before being sold to the Dodgers.
Taylor was a minor league manager for two years: 1941 with the Lansing Senators in the Michigan State League and 1942 for the Harrisburg Senators in the Interstate League.
