[edit] Biographical Information

Dana Allison was only the second major leaguer to come out of James Madison University. Since he was drafted only in the 21st round in 1989, he was fortunate to come to the majors pretty quickly in 1991, for 11 games.

1991 was an off-season for the A's, who won the division in 1990 and in 1992. Dana's teammates on the pitching staff included Bob Welch and Dave Stewart.
