Catcher Dan Williams was selected by the Cleveland Indians in the 37th round of the 1988 amateur draft and played parts of four seasons in their minor league system.

After his playing days ended, he was a minor league coach with the Kinston Indians (1991), Burlington Indians (1992), and Columbus RedStixx (1993-1994). Williams served as interim bullpen coach for the Indians in 1993. Since 1995, he has been the club's bullpen catcher.
