Dan O'Brien, Sr.

Dan O'Brien served as assistant to the president of the National Association from 1964 to 1973. He was then General Manager of the Texas Rangers from 1974 to 1978, president of the Seattle Mariners from 1979 to 1980, and GM of the Mariners from 1981 to 1983. From 1986 to 1989 he was assistant GM of the Cleveland Indians, 1990 to 1991 assistant GM of the California Angels and 1991 to 1993 GM of the Angels.

His son, Dan Jr., was GM of the Cincinnati Reds at one time.
