Dan Neumeier appeared in three games for the 1972 White Sox, a team which went 87-67.

Neumeier was the second major leaguer out of the Wisconsin State University-Oshkosh, drafted in the third round in 1968. He had an ERA of 2.30 for Duluth-Superior in 1968 and the same ERA for Appleton in 1969. Converted to a reliever in 1971, he had 17 saves in 1972 with a 2.67 ERA at Knoxville, earning him his time in the majors at the end of 1972.

He spent 1973-74 with three different AAA teams.

In college in 1968 Neumeier had an ERA of 0.25.
