Dan Iassogna has been a MLB umpire for several years.
Iassogna began his pro umpiring career straight out of college in the 1992 New York-Penn League. After two years there, he worked in the 1994 South Atlantic League, 1995 Carolina League, 1996-1997 Texas League and 1998-2003 International League. He made it to the majors on August 20, 1999, and became a full-time MLB umpire in 2004. He will work the 2009 World Baseball Classic.
