The brother of Ike Boone, Danny Boone posted a 5.01 ERA in the major leagues. He then turned his attention to hitting and posted a .356 batting average and 214 HR in 1,336 minor league games. Boone won 4 batting titles in 5 years, 2 HR crowns, and 2 RBI titles, including a triple crown in the 1928 Piedmont League (38, 131, .419). He also led his league in hits three times and runs three times. While Ike has the highest minor league career average at .370, Danny ranks eighth.
