[edit] Biographical Information
Dan Sweeney played 22 games for the Louisville Colonels in 1895. This was his only time in MLB.
Sweeney was one of six players who each played at least ten games in right field for the Colonels. While Sweeney's hitting wasn't terrible, his fielding was not impressive enough. Tom McCreery, one of the six players, ended up getting the right field job in 1896.
Sweeney was five years older than teammate and fellow outfielder Fred Clarke.
