- League: Dominican Summer League 1997-2002, 2004-present
- Affiliation: Boston Red Sox 1997-2002, 2004-present
The DSL Red Sox have represented the Boston Red Sox in the Dominican Summer League since 1997 (except 2003), one of the latest MLB franchises to place a team in the DSL. In 2003, the DSL Red Sox were replaced by the DSL Red Sox 1 and DSL Red Sox 2. The Red Sox had previously sent players to co-op teams: the 1989 DSL Red Sox/Orioles/Brewers, 1990 DSL Tigers/Padres/Red Sox, and 1996 DSL Astros/Red Sox. Additionally, the Red Sox sent players to a second team in 2000-2001, the 2000 DSL Diamondbacks/Red Sox and 2001 DSL Indians/Red Sox.
Hanley Ramírez and Wilfredo Ledezma got their starts here.
