The DSL Orioles have been the Baltimore Orioles' representative in the Dominican Summer League since 1996. Previously, the Orioles sent players to the 1989 DSL Red Sox/Orioles/Brewers, 1990-1993 DSL Orioles/White Sox, 1994 DSL Giants/Orioles and 1995 DSL Orioles/White Sox. In 2009, they sent players to a second DSL team, the DSL Orioles/Brewers. In 2010, the team was replaced by 2 teams, DSL Orioles 1 and DSL Orioles 2.
Miguel Mejia, Eddy Garabito, Napoleon Calzado, Marino Salas and Sendy Rleal all got their start here.
