The DSL Indians have represented the Cleveland Indians in the Dominican Summer League since at least 1990. In 2000-2001, the Indians sent players to a second co-op team, the 2000 DSL Twins/Indians and 2001 DSL Indians/Red Sox. From 2002 to 2005 they supported two full teams, the DSL Indians 1 and DSL Indians 2.

Major leaguers to get their start here include Julian Tavarez, Einar Diaz, Alex Ramirez, Bartolo Colon, Marco Scutaro, Ramon Morel, Willy Taveras, and Jhonny Peralta .
