The Hiroshima Toyo Carp had an affiliate in the Dominican Summer League for three years, the only non-MLB club to field an entry in the circuit. The team was very successful making the playoffs all three seasons and winning the league championship under manager Manny Castillo in 1995. Timo Perez was the top player produced by the team.
