D.T. Cromer is the brother of Tripp Cromer and minor leaguers Brandon Cromer and Burke Cromer. He showed good power during his major league stays with the Cincinnati Reds in 2000 and 2001, belting 7 homers and 7 doubles in 104 at-bats. He was mainly used as a pinch hitter both seasons, only playing 21 games in the field in 85 games.
Cromer's slugging percentage was over .550 in both of his major league seasons, and he was also a minor league slugger, slugging around .500 for his minor league career.
He played in Japan for the Nippon Ham Fighters.
