Cy Boothby was a minor league starting pitcher who won as many as 21 games in a season.
He played from 1910 to 1915 and again from 1921 to 1922, going 96-95 over the course of his eight-year career. Perhaps his best season was in 1921 with the Bay City Wolves, when he went 21-9 with a 2.37 ERA in 33 games.
He managed the Muskegon Reds in 1934. The league the Reds were in, the Michigan State League, folded on June 15. The team was only 4-9 at that time.
