Pitcher Craig Hansen was selected by the Boston Red Sox in the first round of the 2005 amateur draft. He made his pro debut that summer with the GCL Red Sox and quickly advanced to the Portland Sea Dogs. Between the two clubs, he appeared in 10 games and allowed no earned runs. That September, he was called up by the Red Sox and appeared in 3 games in the majors.
