College World Series
From BR Bullpen
The Road to Omaha culminates in the College World Series. This tournament determines the winner of the NCAA Division I Baseball tourney. Played in Omaha, NE's Rosenblatt Stadium, the College World Series involves eight teams separated into two pools of four with a winner determined by a double-elimination format. The two surviving teams then go on to play in a best two-of-three series.
- Previously the series format was an 8 team double-elimination tournament, with just one championship game.
- Warren Morris, of Louisiana State University hit the most famous home run in CWS history.
