The fifth in a series of unsuccessful one-year Negro National League teams in Cleveland, OH was the Cleveland Tigers, who finished 7th of 8 clubs in 1928 with a 21-53 record. The club went through three managers. The most successful player was catcher Eddie Hampton, who hit .377.
