Clemente Alvarez served as the Philadelphia Phillies bullpen catcher. Alvarez is now a coach in the Phillies minor league system. He hit .222/.263/.444 for Venezuela in the qualifiers for the 2008 Olympics; at age 38, he was one of the oldest players in the tourney.
