Clem Hausmann pitched three years in the majors and also had a long minor league career, winning over 150 games in the minors.
It being wartime, when Clem appeared with the 1944 Red Sox, he was one of the youngest players on the team and the youngest pitcher to appear in at least 10 games. He was a teammate of older players such as Joe Cronin and Dolph Camilli.
He managed at Longview in 1952.
