Clarence Huber was a World War I veteran. He had two cups of coffee with the Tigers, became the Phillies' third baseman for two years and then returned to the minors. He retired as a U.S. customs inspector in 1963. He died at age 65 and is interred at Laredo City Cemetery in Laredo TX.
