Christian Tomsich hit .100/.250/.200 as Austria's starting first baseman in the 2007 European Championship. He was 0-1 with a 5.40 ERA as a pitcher, losing to Sweden. In the 2008 European Championship Qualifiers, he batted .471/.609/.519 and allowed 2 runs in 8 innings in a win as the pitcher versus Switzerland.
