Outfielder Chris Stowers came out of the University of Georgia and made his debut in the majors with the 1999 Montreal Expos. In the minors he hit .319 for Vermont in 1996 and had 17 home runs for Harrisburg in 1998.
With the Expos he was the same age as fellow outfielder Vladimir Guerrero.
