Chris Snopek, a major leaguer for four years, played most of his career for the Chicago White Sox in the years between their division leaders of 1994 and 2000. In the 2001 Baseball World Cup, Snopek manned third base for Team USA and hit .364/.417/.545 with 9 runs in 9 games.

He started out at the major league level quite well, with a batting average of .324, but his average dropped each succeeding year.

He was mostly a third baseman, trying to make the team while Robin Ventura owned the third base position, although he also played shortstop, second base, and a few games elsewhere.

He teaches at the Performance Sports Academy in Mississippi.
