Chris Pollard is a college coach.

Pollard pitched for Davidson College. He graduated with 20 wins, third-most in school history, and beat #1 Georgia Tech as a sophomore in 1994. Chris played briefly as a pro, with the 1996 Salinas Peppers (5 R in 5 1/3 IP) and Sioux Falls Canaries (6 H, 4 BB, 5 R in 2 1/3 IP).

Chris then was pitching coach and recruiting coordinator at Davidson College. From 2000-2004, he was head coach at Pfeiffer University, the school's record improving each year he was there; he won 140 games, finishing second in school history in wins. His club went 41-14 to set a school record for wins in 2004; they were ranked as high as #10 in the country by Collegiate Baseball. He was named the CVAC Coach of the Year.

Pollard then became head coach at Appalachian State University. He won 132 games in his first five seasons, putting him second in school history. He had several players drafted by MLB clubs during this period.
