Shortstop Chris Miyake was selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 22nd round of the 1995 amateur draft. He played four seasons in their farm system, briefly reaching the AA level, before playing three more years in the independent leagues.
Miyake was manager of the Brockton Rox of the Canadian-American Association from 2006 to 2008.
