[edit] Biographical Information
Chris Knapp had one career save in the majors. It came on May 28, 1980 while a member of the California Angels against the Texas Rangers. He never actually got an out in the game. He gave up a run scoring single to Jim Sundberg and then Billy Sample was caught stealing third base to end the game. Stan Cliburn was the catcher on the caught stealing. The Angels won, 7-6.
Knapp won 26 games for the White Sox and Angels from 1977-1978, but then quickly faded and was out of the Majors at age 27.
