Pitcher Chris Gruler was selected by the Cincinnati Reds in the first round of the 2002 amateur draft with the third overall pick and made his pro debut that summer with the Billings Mustangs. However, he pitched in only 27 games from 2002 to 2006 and struggled with shoulder injuries.
