Outfielder Chris Bourjos is the nephew of former big leaguer Otto Denning and cousin of Pat Denning, catcher in the New York Yankees chain. His son, Peter Bourjos, is currently (2008) an outfielder in the Los Angeles Angels' farm system.
In the minors from 1977-83, Bourjos hit over .300 at several stops. He played in the organizations of the Giants, the Phillies, and the Orioles.
He has been scouting since 1983. As of 2008, Bourjos is a scout for the Milwaukee Brewers. He is given credit for finding Roy Halladay.
