Chien-Jung Su hit over .300 in 2011.
Su was a first-round pick of the Sinon Bulls out of college in 2005. He hit .255/.308/.306 as a rookie, but struggled the next four years. He batted only .214/.288/.284 in 2007 then was a backup in 2008 (.185/.230/.252), 2009 (.222/.310/.262) and 2010 (.185/.254/.215). The Fu Jen alumnus surged to .312/.389/.383 in 2011 to win Most Improved Player honors. He ranked 10th in average after his improvement of 127 points, between Chen-Yu Chung and Fu-Hao Liu. He was also 4th in OBP, behind Cheng-Wei Chang, Kuo-Ching Kao and Da-Hung Cheng. Su had 261 putouts, 3 assists and no errors in 115 outfield games; he won a Gold Glove for his defensive work.
