[edit] Biographical Information
Chick Evans is best remembered for pitching a perfect game in the minors with Hartford, a game in which no opposing hitter hit any ball out of the infield.
He pitched 17 games for the 1909 Doves and 1910 Doves. Although he was one of the ten youngest players in the league, each year the Doves had at least one other player his age on the team.
He died before his 27th birthday.
SABR has done a detailed biography of Chick Evans.
