Pitcher Chaz Roe was selected by the Colorado Rockies in the 2005 amateur draft. He made his pro debut that summer with the Casper Rockies of the Pioneer League, where he went 5-2 with a 4.17 ERA in 12 starts. He spent the 2006 season with the Asheville Tourists, going 7-4 with a 4.09 ERA in 19 starts. The next year, he went 7-11 with a 4.33 ERA as a member of the Modesto Nuts rotation.
