Charlotte Sports Park is a ballpark located in Port Charlotte, Florida. Originally built in 1988, it was the spring training home of the Texas Rangers from 1988 to 2001. During that time, it was also home of the Charlotte Rangers of the Florida State League. In 2007, the Charlotte County Redfish of the independent South Coast League called the stadium home. The park was extensively renovated in 2008, and since 2009, it has been the spring training home of the Tampa Bay Rays as well as home field for the minor league Charlotte Stone Crabs, a Rays affiliate.
In July of 2015, the park made the news when a live ten-foot alligator was found wandering in the visitors' dugout. No one was sure how it had wandered into the ballpark from a nearby swamp, and it was removed safely by county employees.
