[edit] Biographical Information

Charlie Osgood played one game in the majors in 1944 at age 17. He pitched three innings for the 1944 Brooklyn Dodgers against the 1944 Philadelphia Blue Jays, giving up one run.

Charlie also pitched for three minor league teams in 1944.

Through 2009 he has been the only major league player with the last name Osgood.

He also played for a local club in Somerville called the Cassell Club. See Cassell Club Folds after 26 Years].

He apparently was part of a baseball comedy team in 1950, although it is not clear if the team ever played any games. See Ye New Georgia Chain Gang Baseball Club.

Some references spell his first name as "Charley".
