[edit] Biographical Information

Mullen was player-manager for the Lincoln Greenbackers in 1913 and the Lincoln Tigers for the first part of the 1914 season. Mullen took over as manager of the Seattle Rainiers in the middle of the 1919 season. The team finished 24-38 under his direction but remained in 8th place in the Pacific Coast League. Bill Clymer had managed the team in the first part of the season. Under Clymer, the team won 38 games and lost 70 games. In 1921, he managed the Tacoma Tigers to a 63-53 record, good for second place in the Pacific Coast International League.
