Pitcher Charlie Morton was selected by the Atlanta Braves in the third round of the 2002 amateur draft and made his pro debut that summer with the GCL Braves, going 1-7 with a 4.54 ERA but allowing only one home run in 11 games. He won his major league debut for Atlanta Braves on June 14, 2008 by pitching six innings against the Los Angeles Angels in an interleague game.
