Charlie Morton played three seasons and also managed three seasons in the majors. He is most famous for being the manager of Fleet Walker and Welday Walker in 1884. Morton had seen Walker play as early as 1880 when Morton owned part of the Akron team and Walker had played for Elyria.
He later served as the president of the Ohio-Pennsylvania League from 1905 to 1909.
