Charlie Malay had 349 at-bats in his only season in the big leagues. He played second base on a team that hit bottom in 1905, losing 104 games after being in decline each year since 1899 when the Brooklyn team won 101 games.
Malay did not play with Brooklyn in 1906, being replaced by Whitey Alperman who hit .252, exactly the same as Malay had hit in 1905.
