Charlie Gibson played one game for the 1905 St. Louis Browns. Veteran catcher Joe Sugden was nearing the end of his career, and hit only .173 in 1905. The Browns tried another young catcher in 1905 for one game, Branch Rickey, and went with him as their regular in 1906.
